Kimeya didn't feel like working today. Her job was simple, pick enough of the sweet berries found throughout the forest to feed everybody in the tribe. She was not the most reliable individual for the task, but she couldn't be trusted to do much else, and most of her tribe didn't want the troublesome teen hanging around camp. She was lazy and preferred to eat her findings rather than bring them back to share like she is told to do. Today she had filled the basket one-fourth full and left it underneath a bush so she can run off and play. She knew leaving the basket unattended was risky with all the ferals around just waiting for the opportunity to snatch it up. But she didn't care. Her reasoning behind not caring- she was picking them for others to eat- whether the others were her own family or wild animals didn't matter to her. It wasn't that she disliked her people, she just didn't care enough to put much effort forward.
She enjoyed sneaking around in the nearby tribes' camps, and today she came upon the Neko Tribe's camp. She was an unashamed kleptomaniac, and she was here today to see what treasures she could take for herself. She had a secret location, a small cavern deep in the forest, where she kept everything she had taken. It was her home away from home, and sometimes she would go missing for several days and this is where she would be.
As she slipped into the Neko's camp, her eyes and ears were open, watching, listening. She saw some kittens playing, and she watched them from behind a thick tree. When she was a kit, she had been such a brat that nobody really wanted to play with her. For a moment she wished she could play as well. But this was a temporary yearning, she would soon be back at her own camp, sneering at her peers and sitting aloofly to the side as they played games and had fun.
