OOC - Disclaimer: My first posts tend to be muuuuch larger than the other ones. > . <;
It all came down to basic survival, though the flavor was certainly not a drawback. The needles were what gave her trouble. Rose's pink tongue picked a few more berries off of the prickly bush. She slurped them down without bothering to chew. Upon grabbing her third helping of the little red fruits, the brown fox's snout brushed against the bush's sharp leaves. She winced but did not give up.
Life is tough when no one is around to feed you. Rose thought of the kibble that she used to refuse to eat and wished desperately that a bowl of it would appear on the mushy forest floor. At least metal containers had no sharp edges. The fox pulled her fluffy tail close to her body and dove in for one more serving. She shut her eyes so that none of the leaves could cut them. Her entire face stung, but that pain was at least more bearable than hunger.
The little brown fox could not keep this up much longer. Since she had never been taught to hunt, however, vegetarianism was her only choice. Rose licked her lips clean of blood and berry juice and removed herself from the spiny bush. She did not feel nearly as full as she once felt, but the berries had at least rid her of the uncomfortable stomach cramps.
Rose lifted one of her paws to the black collar around her neck, and she thought only of home.

Suddenly a white fox with three tails movd torwads her. The foxes feet seemed to float over the ground. " What are you doing." She whispered into the unuspecting foxes ear. Her body disappered into mist.

Having been someone's pet for as long as she could remember, Rose knew that her senses were nothing special. Even so, she thought that she should have at at least heard the thing coming. But alas, she did not. And it scared the metaphorical pants off of her.
The fox proceeded to leap a good six inches off of the ground and quickly turn to face the noise. Her amber eyes, wide and frenzied, studied the empty forest for the voice that had surprised her. She felt the hair on her neck stiffen, and her lips impulsively curled upward. Rose growled for the first time since she was a pup. At first she could not believe that the vicious sound was coming from her own throat. Then she decided to go with it.
"Who's there?" she demanded in the language of the foxes.

" Just me" The voice rang. She did not take form, but brushed against the fox.

Okay, things were definitely getting creepy. Rose had not expected anything to brush up against her fur, yet she felt the touch of some sort of ghost. The fox winced again and yelped in terror. "If this is some sort of prank, there had better be cake at the end!" she huffed in the most confident voice that she could muster given the circumstances.
The fox's entire body tensed. She kept her tail close to the back of her legs and pressed her large ears against her skull. Rose would have never thought of attacking anyone, but she hoped that she looked and acted scary.

A misty figure appered. Mist still cover the small clearing. Her body moved softly without a sound. " Cake, hmmm none of that here." Hitori giggled. Her three tails moved along softly. Encircleing the fox with mist. Before stopping infront of her. Her red eyes blazed. Leaping at the fox with a open mouth. Clamping it shut right before it would cuased her to bit the other fox. Her body disappered. The mist came alive blazeing into purple fire. The coldest fire of them all. The platnts it touched froze in place. The purple fire kept a little way away from the little collered fox.
